Kinross Gold USA to Open Denver Regional Office

Kinross Gold USA Inc. recently announced the opening of a new regional office in Denver. The office will open in January 2014 with a staff of approximately 45, who will be relocated from various offices in North America and South America.

Kinross is among the world’s leading gold mining companies, with operations in North America, South America, West Africa and Russia.

Hancock. “Kinross’s decision reaffirms Denver’s position as a top city for business growth and expansion, providing firms with a workforce that can meet the demands ofa 21st century economy, connectivity to the global market through DIA, and a strong environment to succeed well into the future.”

The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) has pledged an estimated $104,000 of incentives to support the company’s new Denver office. The city’s Business Incentive Fund will provide up to $90,000 for the first 60 new permanent positions. Additionally, the city’s new Business Investment Program will provide an estimated business personal property tax credit of $14,200.OED has also offered workforce development and technical assistance to support the relocation.
