31 Oct, 2012
Xi3 Corp., developer of an innovative modular computer, has announced it will invest $32 million to expand its patented line of tiny, modular and ecofriendly computers, and create 500 jobs in the next five years. The company’s computer architecture is an adaptable and flexible platform. The Xi3 Modular Computer is the smallest, most powerful and most energy efficient 64-bit computer currently in production. Numerous computers, servers and other products built on the Xi3 Computer Architecture are in various stages of development, slated for introduction this fall. The company’s founder and CEO, Jason Sullivan, says Utah is a great place for technology companies. “We have a smart, hard-working and dedicated workforce,” Sullivan says. “Utah is one of the most beautiful parts of the country and we now have the support of the state to help us aggressively grow Xi3 here in Utah, for which I say, ‘thank you.’” The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development has awarded the company a post-performance, five-year $2,045,825 Economic Development Tax Increment Financing refundable tax credit.
