Port of Mobile, Ala.: Intermodal Growth

The Alabama State Port Authority has authorized the purchase of two industrial tracts adjacent to the Choctaw Point Complex at the Port of Mobile. The properties will provide expansion opportunities for the port’s intermodal investments. The Choctaw Complex includes APM Terminals Mobile and Intermodal Container Transfer Facility and the Intermodal Logistics Park. The 35.28 plus acre tract is located on the seaport’s federal shipping channel adjacent north of APM Terminals Mobile. A separate 63 plus acre tract is located along Interstate 10 and adjacent to the Intermodal Logistics Park.
