Remote Work Opportunities Come With Risks
13 Jul, 2015
In its new executive report, Risk Management & Remote Policies, the RIMS’ (the risk management society) Board Directors discuss the advantages, challenges and the role risk professionals should play in the development of their organizations’ remote work policies.
“Information technology, confidentiality, employee health and safety and workers’ compensation coverage are just some of the challenges that can surface upon introducing remote opportunities to a workforce,” says Mary Roth, RIMS Executive Director. “Being in-tune with the organization’s operations and its strategic direction leaves risk professionals well-positioned to contribute to the development of a strong policy that clearly defines expectations for both employees and their managers.”
The report is available in RIMS Risk Knowledge library at www.RIMS.org/RiskKnowledge.
