Startup E.C. Manufacturing to site in Shawnee, Kan.

E.C. Manufacturing, an advanced manufacturing startup, has announced it will open its operations in Shawnee, Kan., part of the Kansas City area.
The company will open its manufacturing facility and headquarters at 23501 W. 84 Street, approximately 20 miles southwest of downtown Kansas City, Mo. There, the company is expected to create 252 new jobs over the next three years and make an estimated capital investment of more than $6 million. E.C. Manufacturing will produce advanced, small electrical components.
E.C. Manufacturing is affiliated with Heatron, a Kansas-based company specializing in thermal management and heating element design and solutions, as well as LED Integration. The company selected the Kansas City region after considering other markets along the East Coast.
The Kansas City region is home to some of the world’s most advanced manufacturing operations including Garmin International, Honeywell Aerospace Electronic Systems and Harley-Davidson Motor Company. The region is supported by a robust supply-chain network and excellent transportation and logistics services.
