Control Systems International Choose Guelph for Satellite Office
15 Jan, 2018
International engineering firm Control Systems International (CSI) is celebrating the opening of their third satellite office, which is their first in Guelph, Ontario.
CSI provides engineering design solutions for clients. Their new office will lead the design of robot systems used in client manufacturing processes. The Guelph office will also provide servicing and troubleshooting services to clients, and the company has plans to hire electrical apprentices, robot technicians and engineers in the near future.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Control Systems International to Guelph. We welcome the jobs, we welcome the investment, and we’re excited to be part of CSI’s continued growth and success,” said Cam Guthrie, Mayor of Guelph.
Guelph is ideally located with access to educated talent developed at the University of Guelph and Conestoga College. Guelph’s proximity to the Toronto-Guelph-Waterloo Innovation Corridor, the second largest cluster of technology innovators in North America, also makes the city an ideal choice for new businesses to set up, or for existing businesses to expand.
“Three major strengths we’ve noticed from Guelph in our business experience are industry diversity, a strong manufacturing sector and reasonable operating costs. We are pleased with the prospects we see in Guelph and believe this was the next logical step towards success,” said Mike Kramer, General Manager of Control Systems International.
CSI’s new Guelph office provides them with a unique opportunity to research and operate new projects, while having easy access to their client’s needs on a day-to-day basis.
“Guelph provides a strong and diverse network for technology companies like CSI. In return, CSI compliments our region’s strengths in the advanced manufacturing and technology sector,” according to Barbara Maly, Manager of Economic Development. For more information, please visit www.guelph.ca.
