Maple Commerce Park Opens in Currituck County, N.C.

25 Feb, 2013

Eleven shovel ready sites ranging from 4 acres to 24 acres are ready for development in Currituck County, N.C.’s Maple Commerce Park. The park is the first phase of a 380-acre industrial development in low-tax northeastern North Carolina.

The sites feature full infrastructure and utility services. The park has been certified by the North Carolina Department of Commerce, meeting prequalifications to ensure consistent standards and reduced risks associated with development.

Advantages include access to a major seaport, rail and air services, as well as highway access. What’s more, Currituck County is part of the southeastern Virginia MSA, including Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Newport News. However, all personal business and real property at the park is assessed at 32 cents per $100 valuation, which is less than 10 percent of the $3.70 to $4.25 combined rates in neighboring cities in Virginia.
