Martinrea International Inc. Selects Kansas City, Missouri

Ontario, Canada-based auto supplier, Martinrea International announces it has selected Riverside, Mo., as the location for its full-service facility, Martinrea Riverside LLC to supply the General Motors facility in Fairfax, Kan. The company will operate in a 275,560-square-foot facility and create up to 290 jobs.
The company will operate stamping, welding, e-coat and modular assembly activities at the location.
“The Kansas City area is an incredibly attractive location for automotive suppliers due to the phenomenal success of our region’s auto plants,” says Bob Marcusse, president and CEO, Kansas City Area Development Council.
Metropolitan Community College has worked to support Martinrea from the beginning of its site selection helping them understand the education, training and consulting services the college is able to provide.
