Online Course Starts in May: Principles of Community Branding

Ed Burghard of Strengthening Brand America has launched a new online educational program, designed for both economic development professionals, their boards and elected officials.

Given the increased number of communities looking at branding as a strategy to accelerate economic prosperity, the course should prove to be a valuable service.  

Burghard says he created the training to help economic development professionals educate both themselves and their community leaders on what community branding is about. His hands-on experience suggests the process is easier when community leaders have a basic understanding and, as a consequence, establish realistic expectations for the outcome of a community branding exercise.
