ROSS VIDEO TO INVEST $122.5 MILLION TO EXPAND MANUFACTURING AND R&D IN ONTARIO WITH SUPPORT FROM INVEST ONTARIO

Expansion is expected create 125 high-skilled jobs and advance the next generation of media processing technology to meet global demand for flexible, software-defined broadcast solutions.

OTTAWA & IROQUOIS, Ontario – Ross Video, a global leader in live production technology, is investing $122.5 million to expand its manufacturing and research and development (R&D) capacity across its facilities in Ottawa and Iroquois, creating 125 new high-skilled jobs over multiple years in engineering, manufacturing and R&D.

Invest Ontario is supporting Ross Video through a combination of financial support, including a conditional grant of up to $6 million from the Invest Ontario Fund, subject to the successful negotiation and execution of a definitive agreement. In addition to the financial support, Invest Ontario provided strategic guidance that connected the company with key players across Ontario’s media technology and advanced manufacturing ecosystem, while helping the company navigate workforce and training opportunities. This expansion is expected to strengthen Ontario’s position as a leading jurisdiction for advanced broadcast, live-production and media technology innovation.

Ross Video’s expansion reflects its commitment to growing in Ontario while scaling the delivery of next generation tools to customers in more than 110 countries. Generating approximately 93 per cent of its sales through exports, the company is a major contributor to Canada’s global media-technology presence and is leveraging the Ottawa to Cornwall corridor’s deep engineering talent pool, research strength, integrated manufacturing supply chains and digital media network to support its growth.

By building on its strong relationships with Ontario based suppliers, component manufacturers and technology partners, the company is strengthening its position in an innovation and manufacturing ecosystem that supports its long-term ambition to shape the future of media technology platforms worldwide.
