BEAM GLOBAL SELECTS YUMA, ARIZONA, FOR RELOCATION OF U.S. MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS

Sustainable infrastructure technology company will establish approximately 55,000- square-foot manufacturing campus in Greater Yuma
Yuma, Arizona — The Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation (GYEDC) is pleased to announce that Beam Global, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions for transportation, energy security and smart cities, will relocate its California manufacturing and production operations to Yuma, Arizona.
Beam Global will establish its Yuma operations within two adjacent industrial buildings totaling approximately 55,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space. The company plans to occupy the first building on July 15, 2026, followed by the second building on January 1, 2027. Beam Global will maintain its corporate headquarters in San Diego, California, and expects production to continue without interruption throughout the transition.
Beam Global develops and manufactures sustainable infrastructure products and technologies supporting electric vehicle charging, energy storage, energy security, transportation and smart-city applications. The company designs, engineers and manufactures its proprietary technology solutions in the United States and through facilities in Europe and the Middle East.
Beam Global selected Yuma in part because of the region’s competitive operating environment, access to transportation infrastructure and availability of manufacturing talent. The company’s new campus is located within an established manufacturing zone offering convenient road and rail access, which is expected to support efficient shipping and supply-chain operations.
The relocation is anticipated to generate approximately $400,000 in rent savings during 2026 and $2.7 million over the company’s five-year lease term compared with its current California facility. Beam Global also expects to benefit from Arizona’s competitive costs for labor, employee benefits, insurance, utilities, regulatory compliance and other business operations.
The company has also identified Yuma’s proximity to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma as an advantage in its continued efforts to recruit veterans and skilled manufacturing employees. Beam Global anticipates that the Yuma facility will provide opportunities to bring additional production processes in-house, supporting increased vertical integration, reduced operating complexity and future business growth. Greater Yuma offers a strong foundation for advanced manufacturing companies seeking access to skilled talent, competitive operating costs and major North American markets. The region supports more than 18,000 industrial production jobs and maintains an industrial manufacturing turnover rate of approximately 3%. Greater Yuma also provides access to 52 million consumers within a one-day truck haul and more than 100 million consumers within two days.
